History of Palagan Ambarawa
On December 11, 1945, Col. Sudirman held a meeting with the Sector Commander of the TKR and the Warriors. On December 12, 1945 at 4:30 a.m., the attack began. The opening of the attack began with the submerged fire first, then followed by the carbine shooters. Fighting broke out in Ambarawa. An hour and a half later, the Semarang-Ambarawa highway was controlled by TKR units. The battle of Ambarawa was fierce. Cabbage. Sudirman immediately led his army using tactics of supit urang titles, or double siege from both sides so that the enemy was truly confined. Supply and communication with the parent forces was severed completely. After fighting for 4 days, on December 15, 1945 the battle ended and Indonesia succeeded in seizing Ambarawa and the Allies made a retreat to Semarang.
